Hartshorne and Crossroads groups’ 12 new vans are at your service

Hartshorne Group and Crossroads Group, Volvo trucks dealers for the Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire has put 12 new service vans into operation.

Following the arrival of four Ford Fiesta vans last December and representing a total investment of £500K, the 12 strong new fleet entered service in early 2018 and have been distributed across Hartshorne and Crossroads Group's network of depots, all of which provide a full parts and service facilities for Volvo Truck & Bus customers.

Supplied by Stewart Foster, Business Development Manager at Stoneacre Motor Group, the Ford vans include a group of Transit Custom Trend models powered by 130ps engines. Allocated to parts distribution work, these L1 H1 sized vehicle also benefit from air conditioning, speed limiters and parking sensors.

Hartshorne and Crossroads Groups are both a key part of Volvo's Action Service network, which delivers an emergency roadside assistance service, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ford Transit Custom 310 L2 H2 Trend vans were selected for this crucial support service, with fully racked interiors for secure for storage of equipment, in addition to a raft of health and safety features.

Rounding off the order are Ford Transit Connect 240 L2 vehicles with 120ps engines and a number of optional extras. The vans are all fully liveried and benefit from rear doors wrapped with hazard warning stripes. The service vans and Volvo Action Service vehicles are also equipped with flashing beacons and equipment for roadside response duties.

It allows us to better service our customer base, both at the roadside and in their own premises, whilst ensuring our staff are as protected as they can be, given the inherent dangers of working on the roadside and with heavy goods vehicles."
