Chris Schofield, Used Vehicle Sales Director here at Thomas Hardie Commercials has introduced twenty new Volvo XC40 Recharge Plug-in hybrids into our company car fleet, purchased from Warrington based Approved Volvo Dealer, Rybrook. Preparations began earlier in the year which saw Pod Point charging bays installed at all Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd locations. The order was agreed after an extensive consultation period with our employees who were briefed on how to get the most out of their new car.

Since the introduction of the cars at the beginning of September, we’ve seen a notable reduction in C02 from 98.7g/km to 49g/km, and it’s both ours and Volvo’s ambition to reduce our carbon footprint by 40% per car by 2025. It’s also worth noting that Volvo’s European plants have been using a climate neutral electricity supply since 2008.

Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd see this as a significant investment and we are committed to an ongoing reduction of our carbon footprint.
