Junior Truck Sales Representative (Dublin / Naas)

We require a Junior Truck Sales Representative to grow our customer base and maintain/strengthen existing customer relationships, to increase sales of Volvo trucks in Greater Dublin and to develop aftermarket business in line with truck sales activity.

Job Purpose:    
To grow our customer base and maintain/strengthen existing customer relationships, to increase sales of Volvo trucks in Greater Dublin and to develop aftermarket business in line with truck sales activity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Sell the Volvo range of new trucks in assigned territory and in line with agreed targets
• Promote and sell R&M contracts & Volvo Finance products in line with agreed targets
• Order new trucks in line with customer specifications
• Develop aftermarket sales in line with truck sale activity
• Business development; maintain and grow the existing customer base
• Visit potential new and existing customers on a regular basis while focusing on new business development targets
• Update and maintain the Customer Management system regularly
• Prepare customer quotations and complete all job-related paperwork in line with Volvo and Irish Commercial standards
• Report sales activity to Sales Director on a weekly basis
• Participate in sales and promotional events as required
• Participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company
• Undertake any other duties or activities as required


Skills Profile:
• Truck or motor sales experience an advantage
• Mechanical understanding of Commercial vehicles preferred
• New business development experience
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good administrative skills
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Computer literate
• Full clean driving licence essential (Truck licence an advantage)
