Group Contract Return Manager - Birstall or Walsall

As part of the used truck sales team we are recruiting a group contract return manager.

The successful applicant will be responsible for our group contract return process, ensuring trucks are processed in a timely and efficiently manner.  All trucks must be processed in accordance with our Company returns policy and Volvo Used Truck return standards.  

 

This exciting and challenging role will entail planning and organisation. The successful candidate will have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude, you should be a good team player and exceed customer expectations in delivering a 1st class service. Communication internally and externally will be a key requirement.

 

The Role
• Manage the orderly return of vehicles at end of contracts for the Group and Volvo Used Trucks.
• Inspect trucks with the customer prior to return and offer guidance.
• Provide quotations to customers for work required for truck returns to Volvo Used Truck standards.
• Agree quotations and gain order numbers for work.
• Provided workshops with end of contract work and book vehicles in for inspections.
• Confirm what cosmetic work is to be completed and by whom.
• Progress trucks through the system to Volvo Used Trucks time deadlines.
• Inform Volvo Used Trucks when trucks can be collected as required.
• Keep in regular contact with Volvo regarding returns and develop relationship.
• Keep returns tracker up to date.
• Provide monthly reviews with forward planned return volumes.

Requirements
• An awareness of gross profit management.
• IT skills including knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• Attention to detail.
• Process driven, well organised and self motivated.
• Technical background within the truck industry (or similar) a distinct advantage.
• Customer facing and negotiation skills. aAbility to adapt to the changing working practices of the company.
• Full and clean driving licence.

• Must be able to travel between Hartshorne and Crossroads on a frequent basis.

Position to be based at either Walsall or Birstall depot.
