Bristol-based quarrying and earthworks contractor Kelston Sparkes Group has taken delivery of a huge, high-spec 150-tonne Volvo FH16 780 8x4 tractor unit. The new arrival is among the first of Volvo’s range-topping 780 hp trucks put into operation in the UK.

Volvo Trucks has joined forces with Middlesex University to launch the commercial vehicle industry’s first degree-level Truck Sales Apprenticeship, with the inaugural intake of apprentices set to commence this September.

Qualitech Environmental Services has taken delivery of two new Volvo FM Globetrotter 8x4 Tridem rigids, equipped with ADR-certified Disab vacuum tanker bodies. The high-tech vehicles are believed to be the first of their kind operating in the UK.
